Welcome!
We are a typical Argentinian family who has travelled and lived abroad. We have also experienced the importance of a warm friendly welcome while being away from home.
Our objective is to offer you excellent service as well as the most personalized attention. That is why we open our home to guests from all over the world.
We are together in this project: Doctor Aldo Cossovich, his wife Isabel and their children Mercedes, English teacher and Rodolfo, electronics engineer, and today we are glad to invite you to visit our home.
Our family commitment, together with the professional support from our niece Verónica Figueroa and our in-law nephew Pedro Porqueras, both with a Master degree in Tourism, is to you.
Today, we open our doors to you to enjoy together our beautiful city of Buenos Aires.

Familia Cossovich

Our House
The House has had since its beginnings in the 1900th, a magic and elegant charm.
Its neo-tudor style was widely used in late Victorian Buenos Aires mostly because of the British influence in Argentina who were in charge of the cereal trading and the railway system. Some characteristics are its brick walls, which hold two enormous bow windows. They let the light come into the house through very old crystals.

In the centre of the facade there is a mysterious shield, which symbolizes the essence of the House. Strange but at the same time very original, it welcomes every new guest. In the upper left side " boleadoras" (an aboriginal and later gaucho weapon used for native ostrich hunting) points out the connection of the building family with the countryside and the wealth it generated. The lis flower (symbol of the European royalty) wanted to make clear for everybody that the family who lived in this house was economically well-off and clearly held a very high social status.

Nowadays, Recoleta Guest House surprises with its refined details and its elegance, typical from local and European aristocracy of those days. The floors are covered by Slavonian oak wood and the stairs with the finest European marble. This atmosphere leads our guests to travel back in time to those glamorous days of the Belle Époque.
The crystal chandeliers, the furniture made of the finest woods and the excellent Argentinian paintings create an ambience, which is perfect for relaxing and having endless conversations.
Rooms are full of light and have been specially adapted to offer all the comfort required by modern tourism. All rooms have private toilets and comfortable beds. Decoration goes with the traditional simplicity and elegance of Creole countryside style.
